During the design process, we created job stories to define core use cases. These stories helped to define priorities for a minimum viable product. Initial launch added download actions on the homepage assets (above, left) and a future iteration will include improvements to the series page experience that promotes simplified bulk downloading (above, right).
Simple and effective messaging provide valuable system feedback to the user as they interact with the download feature. Several download states needed to be address, including: downloading, waiting, paused, completed, and removal.
